We'll just see about this...
Who: Requiem and Jason
When: A day after the shopping trip? (long enough to set lights and get planters planted)
What: Trying to piece together just what the hell is going on here.
He was still braiding his hair when he stepped into the donor quarters. Sure, it was easier to just go to the club, but he wasn't always in the mood for the lights and noise, hence seeing if any of the donors were still available and willing...
...the donor quarters were always slightly brighter than other areas because the most common occupants were not vampires (not that the Circus was ill lit by any means) but it seemed even brighter than normal. Perhaps one of his meals yesterday had been high? It would explain the mild headache and sensitivity to light today? And would explain why he was loathe to go to the club. He was never at his best when post-drugging.
He tied off his braid with a leather thong then nodded, pulling his hood up. It was a 'necessary part of his character' the cape, and comforting besides, fewer people dicked around when it came to donating when he was caped. Something about the mystery and darkness inherent made them bend their necks to him easier.
Appearances. Feh.
He finally glanced around then blinked, those were...grow lights? Not sun lights, they didn't hurt, they were just bright. And plant troughs had been added, he could smell the damp earth and the tease of herbal scents just under the smell of bee balm blossoms. Well, that was new, he wasn't certain who had decided the donors needed such but he certainly wasn't going to complain?
He was half way to the planters, curious about what had been seeded, before he spotted the man on the couch. What was Jean Claude's pomme doing here? Their Master would have said if the man had fallen out of favor, and yet these were the general quarters. "...Jason?" Perhaps he'd brought a lover and fallen asleep waiting while said lover recovered in a room?
It seemed the most plausible answer honestly.

Well and the herb boxes now.
"Should you tell her? So she can arrange things as she likes?"
no subject
He went back down the hall to his room and paused, listening at the door. He really didn't want to wake her if she'd fallen asleep, especially since he knew she'd likely be up early again.
no subject
Khemrys seemed to be singing softly to herself? The door was cracked?
no subject
He waited outside the door, not letting himself glance inside.
no subject
That and she'd slept in the stillroom most days. "Welcome back." Her feet were rebandaged and tucked under herself on the bed as she sewed now?
no subject
"No sign that I could find that anyone followed you. Requiem is probably going to have questions about the stones, though. We stopped by the store on the way home for groceries and he's with everything in the donor's quarters; thought maybe you'd want to organize everything they way you want it?"
no subject
"...all of it?" she repeated a touch blankly. "A few staples shouldst not be confusing to store?" But she was setting the silk in her lap aside and easing t her feet?
no subject
He shot her a slightly guilty grin at her question. "We might have gone a little overboard..."
no subject
"Overboard?"
no subject
The guilty smile grew a bit more as they approached the doorway. "Um...well, you'll see what I mean." He nodded towards the piles of grocery bags and goods surrounding Requiem.
no subject
Ah? Oh..."oh dear..." she blinked.
no subject
He guided her to one of the chairs, offering her a place to sit. "You can sit and direct, and we'll put everything away." He paused and glanced around at the piles. "We weren't sure exactly what you'd want; thought just getting a variety was a safe bet?"
no subject
That was a...mountain of goods. "Ah." Um. Sitting, yes. "Whatever did you not purchase?!"
"...there is no pumpkin?" Requiem offered a touch bemused. IT WAS THE FIRST THING THAT CAME TO MIND?!
no subject
Jason was nudging some of the piles. "We're getting what we can in this fridge until the new one gets here." He grinned and winked at her. "And the stove, thanks to this one over here."
no subject
"Perhaps not," Requiem chuckled softly, unloading things on the table so she could see them.
no subject
No instant meals, no canned goods, sodas, junk food...
no subject
"Ah, mayhap the larger bags and such on the bottom shelves?" The beans, the flour and such?
no subject
He started pulling large bags of dried goods, passing them to Requiem. He could unpack well enough, but Requiem would have a better sense of what went together.
no subject
"Jason was considering a salad this eve," Requiem explained in amusement. "Perhaps with a grilled meat."
no subject
He made a note to not cut anything until the larger fridge arrived.
no subject
"I see," she mused. "May you sort what is fruit an what is not so I may tell lord Jason?"
no subject
He was still rapidly emptying bags and trying to put like items together as much as he could. Soon there was a small pile of the fruits they'd bought set to the side, but still separate from the fruit he'd suggested go in the fridge.
"Requiem, is there room for the salad vegetables, or should that go in my room for now, too?
no subject
With the growing piles, well, Khemrys was reaching to touch...fruits? She assumed these were the fruits given proximity to berries and distance from salad greens!

no subject
"Ill?" Requiem asked, amused.
