Who: Khem, Nat, Jason
When: A few months after getting back from WW.
What: Down time!
he honestly wasn't thinking about being loud. She wasn't by nature to say the least, even when excited she tended to be harder to hear in a crowd. That was before she'd gotten pregnant and before she learned about baking shows.
Ohhhhh baking shows and the ability to see things that didn't exist in her world!
"I need that," she breathed excitedly. "What's in it?"
Nat laughed and grabbed the nearby notepad, "really, a Charlotte Royale? It looks like a brain..."
"Mmmm, fruits and jelly and cake..." she hummed happily. "Cream? I see cream, I could do a cinnamon cream to complement roasted cherries..."
"Shush! I'm trying to write it all down!" Nat laughed, bopping her with the pad. "You don't want strawberry? It seems strawberry is classic."
"No, cherry," she smiled. "We could do cherry, the rolling would require practice though I think. I haven't rolled a cake even at the Abbey feast days. Hmmm, a score, then..." she moved her hands, miming the technique she was watching so she'd recognize it later at need.
"We do roll cake first?" Nat mused. "Practice with the swiss rolls? Chocolate and cream? I thought maybe we could do candied bacon and maple cream in chocolate!"
"Ohhhhh," she smiled, "yes, let's do that!"
"Mmmmhmmm, last time we candied bacon it went really well so we can do that today?"
"I think I have everything!" she beamed cheerfully. "Anything we don't eat or Jason doesn't claim I'll take the clinic with me..."
Nat snickered, "you're spoiling the Rodere you know."
"Of course, they're my friends," she blinked.
"I know, I know, it was just...nevermind," he laughed. "You know how jealous Jason gets of your cooking!"
She blushed a bit, looking down, "we can make....a large batch? For testing."
"For testing," he agreed cheerfully. "Does Jason know we've been mainlining Great British Baking Show?"
"Umm..." Probably not? It was 'on' streaming, which meant she watched it on the lunch break she took at the shop? "Why?"
"Just means he'll be surprised!" he laughed. "Mostly. Unless we wake him up."
"..." she glanced past the couch to the hall, wincing, "oh, was I loud?"
"You want what you want!" Nat assured, "it's okay!"
