He was quick to note the source of blood (how could he not?) and the very visible bones jutting out from beneath the fur. He was careful not to move while the leopard dropped from the tree, but kept an encouraging smile on his face as he waited for it to ease into a comfortable position.

So it understood him at any rate...

"I'm not sure what you are, but you're bleeding. Do you need help? Can you...talk, or...?" He faltered, not knowing exactly what he'd be able to do if it couldn't communicate: Having an injured leopard following him out of a public park wouldn't exactly be inconspicuous.
